One thing I am proud of is how I have grown in basketball over the past two years. Not just in my personal skill, but the friendships that I have begun and my ability to work as a productive member of the team.
Personal skill is one thing that I feel I have grown in. Basketball camp this summer was the catalyst to the improvement in using my left hand and starting to be able to handle the ball with more finesse. My post-up game has become my go-to game, and I have a wide variety of moves and skills at my disposal.
Building friendship with my teammates has also been a factor in my basketball improvement. When I have friends I'm playing against, they push me on when I'm ready to give in. I always have competition better than myself and I believe this is the best way to improve. I feel at this point I know everyone on the 13U team well enough to call them all friends.
Lastly, my teamwork has improved. Even if someone is the best player on the court at all times (which I am not), they can't beat a whole team. Teams that lack communication and trust we can usually beat because we all know we can rely on the person next to us. That trust it what leads us to success.
I believe my basketball game has improved, both on and of the court. I have made friends with my teammates and I can rely on them.
